Our home is situated at 56 Gallagher Drive, Tairua.
Its positioned just a little way up the Tairua Heights hill. Just high enough to get expansive uniterupted views of Pepe estuary and reserves, but not so high that you dread walking to town and back.
The view is predominantly north facing. With sweeping views to the Estuary and golf course in the north and around into the pepe valley in the west.
It is a short 5 minute walk to shops via Pepe Rd, along the estuary waterfront, and native reserves.
A short cut to the wharf, Pauanui ferry and bakery is possible via Pine Grove.
There are public lookouts just a minutes walk up the hill along ridge road, and another stairway back down to main rd.
You can swim in the estuary and harbour, and this is a short walk, or a brisk 15 minute walk would get you to the main surf beach.

Tairua is 1 hour 40 minutes drive from Auckland Central on any normal day without speeding.
Tairua has a 4square supermarket, but large modern New World supermarkets are located at Whangamata 35km, and Whitianga 45km away. Thames is 45 kms away also with a large Pak'n'save plus The Warehouse.
Hot water beach, Hei Hei and Cathedral cove are 30 minutes drive. They are closer to Tairua than Whitianga.
